This is the 3 door model for the new 2013 BMW M135i. BMW has announced that the five door model will be out after this. The new 2013 BMW M135i has been through a lot of upgrade. The new model will be distinguished by a specific exterior and interior design, as well as an impressive 3-liter, straight six-cylinder engine that delivers an amazing 320 HP. This output allows the car to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.1 seconds and up to a top speed of 155 mph (electronically limited). The car’s exterior will be distinguished by specific M design elements: a front apron with large air intake vents and three-dimensional flaps on the outer air vents inspired by automobile racing. At the rear, there will be an impressive rear apron plus dual exhaust pipes. The final touch is provided by a new set of 18-inch M light alloy double-spoke wheels.
The BMW M135i’s body has been specially designed to handle the impressive power delivered by its powerful engine. It will get the usual M design elements, including a new front apron with large air intake vents to meet the cooling demands of the high-performance straight six-cylinder engine, auxiliary units, and over-sized brakes. The three-dimensional flaps on the outer air vents were inspired by automobile racing and take the space reserved for the fog lights in other versions of the three-door BMW 1-Series. At the rear, there is a new rear apron and dual exhaust pipes. The car will be offered with a new set of 18-inch M light alloy double-spoke wheels and “M135i” logos located on the door sills to help further identify the car.
The engine will deliver a total of 320 HP at 5,800 rpm and a peak torque of 331 lbs-ft that is available between 1,300 and 4,500 rpm. It will sprint the car from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds (automatic: 4.9 seconds) and up to a top speed of 155 mph (electronically limited). These figures can be attained while still delivering a fuel consumption of 8.0 liters per 100 kilometers.
The new M135i will also be offered with customized cooling system, M performance control, and engine sound tuning, as well as a newly developed six-speed manual transmission with dry sump lubrication. A dynamic eight-speed automatic sports transmission with gearshift paddles integrated in the steering wheel is available as an option.
