The new model for Lexus GS model is coming this year and it will be its forth generation. The new 2013 Lexus GS350 got more updated look from its predecessor because it will be built on a brand new platform, making it sportier and more efficient than the previous model. Still it will use same direct-injected 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers a total of 306 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 277 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 3,600 rpm. The real star of the show will be the 5.0-liter V8 engine with an output of about 450 horsepower. A good specification and design on a sporty car.
With an all-new platform, the 2013 Lexus GS350 certainly looks the part of a crowd-pleaser. It now carries the brand’s new “spindle grille” while also drawing some subtle interpretations from the GS Concept. Sure, it’s not as aesthetically eye-popping as the concept, but you rarely find a production version that is. The new lighting configuration also shows a distinctive Lexus design feature with the deep-set, high-tech headlamps and L-shaped LED daytime running lamps. The headlamps use a projector beam design, adding a strong, chiseled appearance and excellent illumination.
The interior of the GS350 comes with a number of embedded premium upgrades that are included as standard equipment, including a new energy-saving auto climate control system called S-Flow that uses the occupant-detection system to focus airflow only to the front area where passengers are actually seated. There’s also a next-generation Remote Touch with one-push confirmation that comes standard on all models.
